Glenorchy School is a small rural school at the head of Lake Wakatipu. Their roll currently sits at 28 students with two classes: a Junior and Senior. The ebb and flow of population has a dramatic effect on schooling in a small community like Glenorchy, with the school at times bursting at the seams and at others dwindling to low numbers in a single classroom.

 

Their students are fortunate to have many opportunities both in and outside of the classroom with a strong emphasis on taking advantage of our amazing backyard. Highlights of the school year are their ice skating programme in the Junior Room and their annual Ski Camp in the Senior Room.
