Screening information and links will be here as the listings go live at theatres, or when they are available to book. It will be updated regularly as we roll out 1978 across the country, so keep checking back for your area! Every screening supports a local charity, so these take a bit longer to sort, but we think it's worth it!

Join us for the Auckland premiere of 1978 in the spectacular region of Tāmaki Makaurau! This is going to be a great event, and we are proud to announce that the Auckland charity for these screenings is BBM Motivation, run by the living legend Dave Letele! There will be a Q&A afterwards with key 1978 Cast and Crew, and we cant wait to share with you!

This screening is actually the NZ Premiere of 1978 just because the Kahutara community (near Martinborough) are so awesome!  This screening will feature a special Q&A and support a wonderful local community school – Kahutara School  – some of whose students are in the film and the school itself is in the film.

Hey All! We are traveling deeper into the heartland now and heading to Feilding. We are proud to support a great country school called Ōpiki School for this one, which works for us because we love country schools!

Also there is a great group from Palmerston North called the Palmerston North Knights Lightsaber Group, who will be generously supporting this screening. One of their members was an actor in the film…keep a look out for the army “Sarge” in the film!
