Te Omanga Hospice is a community-supported and community-focused charity providing specialist palliative care for people living with a terminal or life-limiting illness across the Hutt Valley.

Their dedicated team delivers holistic, wraparound care that supports not only patients with life-limiting illnesses, but also their whānau and loved ones. By caring for the physical, emotional, spiritual and practical needs of those they support, Te Omanga Hospice helps people live as well as possible for as long as possible.

 

One in three people who die in the Hutt Valley are supported by Te Omanga Hospice and while funded in part through Health NZ contracts, around half of the funding needed ($6.9m) to provide these vital services must be raised from the community each year. The generosity of supporters across the Hutt Valley helps ensure that Hospice care remains free and available to everyone who needs it, now and into the future.
