Dannevirke JAB Rugby is the beating heart of grassroots junior rugby in our rural community, giving local kids a place to learn the game, build confidence, and form lifelong friendships. Every Saturday, families gather on the sidelines for our club competition, where young players get the chance to develop their skills in a supportive, community‑driven environment. Sundays shift the focus to representative rugby, offering keen players the opportunity to step up, test themselves, and proudly carry the Dannevirke name into wider regional fixtures.

 

Behind the scenes, a passionate and hard‑working committee of parents keeps everything running smoothly. Their dedication ensures our players have safe fields, organised draws, and the encouragement they need to thrive. As a small rural centre, we rely heavily on sponsorship to provide gear, maintain facilities, and keep registration costs manageable for families. That support—combined with the commitment of our volunteers—allows Dannevirke JAB Rugby to continue nurturing the next generation of rugby players and community leaders.
