Life Linc Counselling has been a part of Nelson-Tasman since 1974. They provide low-cost counselling to individuals, couples and families. They started as a phone counselling service as Lifeline Nelson and have adapted to the changing demands of the local community. Life Linc have 8 volunteer counsellors, three part-time staff and a volunteer governance board. They provide counselling through self-referral and cost about 1/3 of the private practice rate.

 

Life Linc’s focus on high-quality, short term counselling helps their clients address issues as they have them, offering up to 10 sessions of counselling with one of their team. With the cost-of-living crisis hitting people from all walks of life, their services are critical to help people navigate the tricky bits that arise.
