Redwood Scout Group

The Redwood Scout Group is based in the heart of the Redwood Community and offers Scouting to young people in the northeast of Christchurch. Scouts is open to youth ages 5 through to 25 across 5 sections (and they will never say no to adults volunteering too).  Scouts meet each week and get up to all sorts of fun activities, from learning about the world around them and how to be a friend as a Kea, through to learning to scuba dive or fly a plane as a Venturer. Scouts can try anything and everything.

Scouts is youth lead with Kaiarahi (adults) providing guidance, support and safety with a touch of challenge.  Whether it’s ‘traditional ‘outdoor activities like cooking over a fire, tramping, camping or learning about their environment or it’s more ‘contemporary’ activities like Laser tag, surf lifesaving, dancing or flatting skills, Scouts get to build their own programme.

30% of all tickets sales from these screenings will be gifted to the Redwood Scout Group.
